Q. Ray,
Can a Scout who is elected in the spring attend a spring Ordeal?

Thank you,
Randall

A. Randall,
Thanks for the question.

As soon as a person is elected they have one year to complete the Ordeal. Typically newly elected candidates are invited to the next Ordeal being conducted by the lodge, though call-out ceremonies and other circumstances can vary the procedure from year to year and lodge to lodge. Depending on the lodge, there could be one, two, or more ordeals per year. Remember, that a call out can be an exciting experience for the candidate, but it is not required.

Hope this clears things up,
Ray
