Q. Hello Ray,
I am the historian for my lodge and I have updated our lodge history book to include the Centurion Award recipients and added a few other things, as well. We also have a legacy lodge historian has who has finished the book and has a digital version he would like to add to this project. Please advise on how to proceed.
Thanks for all you do!
Yours in WWW,
Mike
A. Dear Mike,
Thank you for your question. Yes, if you have not already done so, please submit a finalized digital and physical copy of your lodge history book. Many lodges were waiting until late 2015 to update their books with information related to NOAC/post-NOAC, fall events, and Centurion Award recipients. As such, a number of finalized books are coming in now. If you guys have already submitted a finalized digital and physical book, then no action is needed.
Physical copies of your book, which we will include in our centennial museum collection. Those go to my house: 9 Warwick Lane, Nashville, TN 37205. Digital copies should be uploaded here. To your second question, yes, we will accept history books and digital versions from legacy lodges. While this has not been published formally, we are finding that some lodges have sought to include their legacy lodge history either in their current history book or in a separate publication.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for your leadership with this project and for preserving these stories for future generations.
Ray
