With so many outstanding programs, awards and events being planned for the Order of the Arrow's 100th anniversary, it can be difficult for a single chapter or lodge to successfully promote them all. In September, the 100th anniversary commemoration committee is publishing a comprehensive set of resources for chapters, lodges and sections to utilize as they work towards achieving their 100th anniversary goals. This treasure chest of resources, called the centennial cache, will be available for anyone to download, and will be developed and added to over time to become the one stop location for ideas and resources to help promote the OA's 100th anniversary celebration.
The centennial cache will include a letter from 2014 National Chief Nick Dannemiller and 2014 National Vice Chief Taylor Bobrow, as well as a template newsletter article overviewing centennial programs, events and initiatives. Also included will be the centennial PowerPoint template and social media posts for use on OA pages or feeds. If a lodge or chapter is looking to promote either the Arrowman Service Award or the Centurion Program, the cache will include graphic advertisements for both.
The centennial cache also looks to celebrate our history, so a Facebook album of photos from the OA's last 100 years will be part of the resources available. Chapters, lodges and sections will be able to access these pictures for use in training cells or other presentations on the rich history of the Order of the Arrow.
Another centennial resource was recently released; interested Arrowmen can access the NOAC 2015 goals of lodges across the nation on the centennial map. This map will eventually include a listing of the Centurions from each lodge. As you prepare to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow, check out the resources inside the centennial cache for help formulating and promoting your 100th anniversary plans!
