A letter from the 2026 National Chief and Vice Chief

  Jake Harmon             Operation Arrow 2026

Dear Arrowmen,

Welcome to Operation Arrow! Let us be the first to share our excitement to be at the Summit Bechtel Reserve this summer for the 2026 National Jamboree. This year, we will ride new waters, creating an event that builds upon our 76 years of serving the National Jamboree to create the largest and most impactful Operation Arrow in history. We thank you for your willingness to serve alongside hundreds of your fellow brothers as we showcase what our organization has to offer. This summer is our chance to leave our mark on the Scouting movement. With your steadfast help during this two-week experience, we will accomplish this goal and demonstrate our servant leadership to thousands of Scouts, who may possibly experience the highlight of their Scouting journey.

We, together with the Operation Arrow leadership, are committed to ensuring the best and most meaningful jamboree experience possible. By exploring the myriad activities the jamboree offers, by meeting people from across the nation and by gaining the satisfaction of serving your fellow Scouts, you also will truly experience a once-in-a-lifetime Scouting adventure. All that we ask is that you deliver on our Obligation to be the example of selfless devotion to the welfare of others.   Our program would not be possible without your unwavering commitment and dedication. As a member of Operation Arrow, you will support projects across SBR and help us make history. This year, your experience will be unlike any other, as we are proud to announce the return of the OA Service Corps and the launch of several new program elements: the OA Legacy Experience, the OA Summit Circle Experience and the OA Rendezvous.

The OA Legacy Experience will share valuable information about the Order of the Arrow while also showcasing our new OA statue commemorating more than 110 years of cheerful service. The OA Summit Circle Experience offers an exciting opportunity for all Scouts to visit and learn more about this historic national OA site. Last, but certainly not least, the OA Rendezvous on Sunday evening will be a peak celebration of the very best our organization has to offer. All of these program elements would not be possible without the strong dedication of our OA support teams. It is time to ELEVATE your passion for the OA with new activities, gatherings and opportunities as we have never seen before.  It is no surprise that we have faced our fair share of irksome tasks and weighty responsibilities since our last jamboree. Nearly three years later, we are excited to continue sharing our legacy of cheerful service with the rest of Scouting. During such a pivotal moment for our organization, we will rise to the occasion and continue to deliver on our mission, vision and purpose as we enter a new chapter for Scouting. Let's go change some lives, for the better!

Yours in Service,
