Letter from the National Chief

My Fellow Arrowmen,

Scouting. Is. BACK! Since we last spoke, I’ve had the opportunity to attend countless events across the nation. Safe to say it’s been quite an exciting start to 2022! When I visit with different Arrowmen at these conclaves and leadership training events, one thing is always true: everyone is having fun. I am overcome with joy to see smiles on the faces of Arrowmen. After a tough two years, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Together, we’ll find that light at NOAC!

In less than 100 short days, from  July 25th to 30th, 2022, over 6,000 Arrowmen will gather at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for the 2022 National Order of the Arrow Conference. Though our conference theme is Tomorrow Begins Today, building for a better tomorrow is not something that can happen overnight, nor is it something that can be done alone. It’s going to take a village, which is why I need your help to pioneer our order long into the future.

It’s time to spring into action. Together, let’s celebrate spring, the season of growth and renewal, by calling upon your fellow Arrowmen to spring back into their uniforms and sashes.

The road to recovery has been grim, but we as Arrowmen have persevered. Tell your fellow Scouts, friends, and family members to come back to Scouting and OA events. You can help our organization get closer to that light this year. Whether you serve with your unit, chapter, or lodge, I challenge you to kindle that light for future generations of Arrowmen to enjoy.

We are the generation that will define the future of the Order of the Arrow. Tomorrow truly begins today.

Yours in Scouting,

Tim Reiss
