In August of 2015, 10,000 Arrowmen from across America will gather for the 32nd National Order of the Arrow Conference. Your lodge members are invited to participate in the fun, fellowship, learning, and excitement of the Order's largest event.
The conference will be held on the beautiful 5,200 acre campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. It will begin with dinner on Monday, August 3rd and end after breakfast on Saturday, August 8th. All Arrowmen who are registered members of the Boy Scouts of America and have their council's approval are eligible to participate in the conference. The NOAC 2015 fee has been set at $475 for youth and adult members. Complete NOAC reservation information will be mailed to all council Scout Executives in June of 2014; Councils and lodges will be able to make their contingent reservations online starting August 1, 2014.
Councils may send as many Arrowmen as they approve to attend NOAC. There will be no set ratio of youth reservations to adult reservations; however, councils are expected to provide every opportunity for Arrowmen under the age of 21 to attend the conference. Adult participation should be approved on the basis of need to provide responsible leadership supervision for the council contingent (at least one adult for every 15 youth).
To secure the youth and adult spaces desired, each council must complete the online Council Contingent Reservation. Your council will be billed for the nonrefundable deposit of $100 per participant. No individual reservations will be accepted. The Council Contingent Reservation must be submitted on the NOAC Registration site at: http://registration.oa-bsa.org.
All youth and adult Arrowmen interested in serving on the NOAC 2015 staff may apply online at the NOAC Registration site beginning August 1, 2014. The conference fee for staff members is $475.
NOAC PROMOTION PATCH: A specially designed NOAC 2015 promotion patch will be mailed to contingent leaders after their participant reservation deposits are received in the national office. Participants are encouraged to wear the patch to help promote the conference. (The BSA has granted the OA one-time permission to wear the promotion patch where the National Scout Jamboree patch is worn on the Scout uniform through 2015.)
Important conference administrative and program information will be available to all council contingents on April 1, 2015, by going to the NOAC Event Website. A seven minute promotion video suitable for promoting the conference is also available online in the Lodge Resource Pak along with NOAC ads that can be printed and used at chapter and lodge events.
