Operation Arrow

Operation Arrow

For over 75 years, the Order of the Arrow has been an integral part of the National Jamboree experience. Join over 300 Arrowmen from across the nation and abroad next summer as we provide critical service and program support to the 2026 National Jamboree!

The Jamboree will take place July 22-31, 2026 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. Operation Arrow is looking for youth and adult members to serve in various roles – most critical is the OA Service Corps, providing support to complement Jamboree program staff and other critical operations.

Sign up now by visiting jamboreg.scouting.org. Operation Arrow is listed under ‘Program’. Choose Service Corps if you can attend Jamboree for the entire session or Program and Support if you are interested in our other OA program offerings. Final assignments will be determined after the 2026 OA National Planning Meeting in January.

Get ready to put on your zesty blues and provide meaningful service in support of the 2026 National Jamboree while having fun and making new memories with your fellow Arrowmen!

What is Operation Arrow?

Through the OA’s presence at the National Jamboree, there’s so much more that you don’t want to miss in 2026:

  • The OA Service Corps, our traditional service-oriented team supporting jamboree operations since 1950, is a great way to serve and see many different aspects of the jamboree. Members of the Service Corps will be assigned chapters, supporting contingent arrival, assisting with jamboree staffing, jamboree show mobilization and more.
  • The OA Summit Circle Experience will bring our national ceremony site to life for the benefit of Jamboree participants and staff.
  • The OA Legacy Experience at the Summit Center is not just an OA exhibition and activation station, but includes live multi-media events that will showcase our new permanent Order of the Arrow display at the Summit.
  • The Sunday Order of the Arrow Rendezvous will bring EVERY Arrowman at Jamboree together for fellowship and inspiration. Tell your friends to bring their sash!
  • Our OA Staff Services, Communications, Admin Services, Operations and Trading Post teams will provide support to not only the Operation Arrow staff but ALL youth staff at the Jamboree. It’s all hands on deck!

Testimonials

Hear it from some of the 2025 National Officers:

“My experience serving the 2023 National Jamboree through Operation Arrow was the catalyst for me serving the Order of the Arrow and Scouting on a national level. Getting to serve in Scouting America’s premier national event alongside people I had only just met but would go on to become my closest friends was undoubtedly the spark that ignited my fire to continue serving our movement on all levels.” - Samuel Crowder, 2025 National Chief

“Participating in Operation Arrow was a defining chapter in my Order of the Arrow journey, driven by the incredible energy of those around me and the profound impact of the program itself. Witnessing firsthand the lives changed through the service I was able to provide inspired me to take on greater roles within our Order, both locally and nationally. Running the program alongside the best and brightest OA leaders was one of the most special opportunities I’ve had, to this day, because of the lifelong friends and mentors I made throughout my time at the Summit and I couldn’t recommend a program more than this one!” – Haley Flores, 2025 Gateway Region Chief
