Need to incentivize your chapter members to pay their dues on time? Follow in Echeconnee Lodge’s footsteps and offer a pin to members who pay on time. Echeconnee, from the Central Georgia Council, offers small pins in the shape of an arrowhead with the year printed on it. Members who pay their dues on time receive the pin at the lodge event after they pay their dues. This visible recognition is a reminder to others likewise to pay their dues. Although the program is fairly new in Echeconnee, the lodge has seen growth and hopes the program helps to combat “sash and dash.”
Echeconnee Lodge registered 247 members in 2010 and 310 members in 2011. Does your lodge or chapter have a tried-and- true method of retaining members? Send us your story at @email.
