Session Description:
WE ARE MESSENGERS OF PEACE! - An Introduction to Messengers of Peace and the new enhancements to the program within the BSA. Participants will learn about how Scouts can positively influence their communities and gain recognition through meaningful service opportunities.
Learning Outcomes:
Outcome 1: Participants will gain an understanding of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).
Outcome 2: Participants will gain an understanding of the MoP initiative, its history and relation to Sustainable Development Goals
Outcome 3: Participants will learn about what other Scouts around the world have accomplished as Messengers of Peace
Outcome 4: Participants will gain an understanding of the dimensions of MoP and their connections with Wimachtendienk, Wingolauchsik, and Witahemui
Outcome 5: Participants will learn the steps towards becoming a Messenger of Peace
Outcome 6: Participants will learn about opportunities for new Messengers of Peace recognitions
