Web Team Content Manager

The National Communications Committee is seeking individuals to help maintain and update the national OA website. Individuals will take incoming update requests from other teams and national subcommittees and provide assistance to make the requested changes. They will also proactively seek out updates to the national website, develop new pages to promote programs and events, and solicit feedback and new feature ideas from external stakeholders. Candidates should take initiative and have strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other teams and subcommittees. The commitment for this role is approximately 1-2 hours per week; commitment may be more or less involved depending on the current tasks that week. Team collaboration takes place asynchronously using Slack and Asana work environments; regularly scheduled monthly team meetings occur along with video conferences as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to make website content updates requested by national subcommittees.
  • Feedback with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that updates are compliant with existing site themes and OA branding.
  • Communicate with web team leadership and the web technical subteam for further technical assistance and feature development as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and best practices in all activities.
  • Attend monthly team collaborative meetings to ensure alignment with team initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with web design, particularly focusing on user experience, graphics, and overall aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work asynchronously and independently as well as manage multiple priorities.
