During the December 2011 National Planning Meeting, the national committee approved a resolution that set a new standard for Order of the Arrow social media use, overturning the restrictive social media policy announced in the 08-5 Operations Update. The new resolution has three points that must be met before a social media presence may be created.
Social Media Guidelines
- Lodge Key 3 approval
- Posting in accordance with the Scout Oath and Law, Guide to Safe Scouting, Field Operations Handbook, and Handbook for Officers and Advisers
- Properly maintaining and supporting the social media presence
