Bringing the new induction to every lodge.
Existing Arrowmen experience the new induction before lodges offer it to new members. Every induction team must first complete it in full as candidates — a teach-through-experience approach, so every lodge leader understands it firsthand.
See One, Do One, Offer One.
A cascading model brings the new induction to every lodge. The national experiences that seeded it are complete; the cascade now runs through sections and lodges.

Each Stage in the Cascade
Most Arrowmen will experience the new induction with their lodge.
01
Each section has identified at least one exemplar lodge to host an induction experience for all lodges in the section. That lodge’s induction staff — ceremonialists, Luminaries, youth leaders, and advisers — experience a full induction before conducting their section’s event. Lodges will attend their section event before offering an induction experience to their own members.
Sections are encouraged to schedule early in 2026. Priority goes to induction teams from other lodges in the section, with remaining space offered to interested members and neighboring lodges. National staff support each event.
02
Once a lodge’s entire induction staff has participated in an experience — at a section event, a neighboring lodge’s experience, or any combination — they will offer an induction for their own members. A national staff or development team member attends each one to provide support.
- Invite neighboring lodges, supporting members who missed earlier experiences.
- Re-engage lapsed members alongside current ones.
- Keep a “member crew” in future inductions so members can keep experiencing it.
Each lodge receives one complimentary kit with most of the materials needed to deliver the induction, mailed to the council office once the lodge has attended an experience.
Replacement materials and additional kits are available through the OA Trading Post. Pre-ordered kits ship after the complimentary kit arrives.
Each lodge will get to customize its Legacy Capes for ceremonial wear, connecting the new tradition to its own history, with an event to share finished capes and celebrate.
Current members who complete the new induction during 2026 receive a special collectible commemorating this historic transition.
