The Order of the Arrow is partnering with the National Scouting Museum’s “Scouting Memories Project” to host the Oral History Project at the 2017 National Jamboree. This youth-focused project, led by the four region chiefs, hopes to attract stories about Scouting big, small, old and new. The project is a continuation of efforts by the Goodman-Edson Observatory (GEO) Oral History Team at the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC).

The goal of the project is twofold: to capture the personal histories of yesteryears that are wonderfully augmented by time and perspective, and to record contemporary accounts of Scouts who may be experiencing a national event for the first time.

This repository of personal histories will create a living tapestry of Scouting history to help us further understand our past. The project will be continued at NOAC 2018.
