The end of the OA’s record-breaking involvement at the national jamboree doesn’t have to be the end of your adventures of a lifetime. Hack, code and brainstorm at the OA Hackathon. Learn, compete and make new friends at NOAC 2018. Hike or paddle while giving back through OA High Adventure. Unlock a new world at the 24th World Scout Jamboree. Whatever your interests, there are plenty of new and exciting opportunities for you to enjoy fellowship with Arrowmen and Scouts from across the world.
OA Hackathon
The Order of the Arrow’s inaugural hackathon will take place October 6-8, 2017 sponsored by Intel and located at their facility in Folsom, CA. If you’re interested in computers, web development or technology, the OA Hackathon is for you!
Over the course of the weekend Arrowmen will be placed into one of three teams: connections, games or delivery. Working together with Intel engineers, these three teams will corroborate and develop the technological forthcomings of the OA.
While coding and computer programming experience is encouraged, it is not necessary in order to attend. This is your chance to leave an impact on the technological infrastructure of the OA for years to come!
To register and find more information, click here.
Additionally, every lodge is asked to submit the names and emails of at least two youth and two adults who may be interested in attending the first-ever OA Hackathon. If you know anyone who might like to attend, please let us know by completing this form. We'll be reaching out to these future innovators so that they can help us #HackOA.
NOAC 2018
The 2018 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is officially less than one year away. Approximately 8,000 Arrowmen will convene at Indiana University from July 30 - August 4, 2018, in Bloomington, IN to partake in fellowship, training and shows.
By attending the BSA’s second largest national event, you have many reasons to be excited! NOAC features an innumerable amount of activities, including dynamic trainings from compelling presenters, competitions in various lodge games and American Indian activities, lively evening shows with numerous special guests and performances, and so much more.
Registration for staff and lodge delegates opens on October 2, 2017! To stay updated with all things NOAC 2018 related, click here.
OA High Adventure
OA High Adventure (OAHA) is your chance to explore one of the BSA’s four national high adventure bases in an entirely new light! The OA offers five unique high adventure programs between Northern Tier, Philmont Scout Ranch, the Florida Sea Base and the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
In true OA fashion, treks include service given to the base or neighboring national parks, which makes the cost to attend remain low and affordable.
OAHA crews are made up of Arrowmen from various areas of the country, creating an experience that provides the ability to grow in brotherhood and make new friends while encouraging personal reflection and strides in personal development.
Arrowmen must be 16 years old by the time of their adventure, but not yet 21 by its conclusion, and meet certain physical requirements. For the OA Summit Experience, Arrowmen must be between the ages of 14 and 17.

World Scout Jamboree*
From July 22–August 2, 2019, Scouts from around the globe will gather at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia, USA, for the 24th World Scout Jamboree. This world jamboree is unique because it is a team effort by Scouts Canada, Asociación de Scouts de México and the Boy Scouts of America.
The three host countries are getting ready to welcome our Scouting friends as family to experience the theme for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree, “Unlock a New World.” This theme speaks to the new adventures, cultures and friendships that will be shared by Scouts from around the world during the 12-day event.
The world Scout jamboree is above all an educational event that brings together the world’s youth leaders to promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills.
The 24th World Scout Jamboree will feature the hallmarks of past world jamboree programs, such as the Global Development Village, the World Scout Centre, a special sustainability initiative and the socialization elements that allow participants to make lifelong friends from around the world.
