In addition to Operation Arrow’s primary program areas, the Order of the Arrow will enhance the overall jamboree experience with small recreation, program, administrative services, Summit Center exhibit, aerial sports and non-emergency medical transportation staffs.
The 2017 region chiefs, elected at the national planning meeting last December, will preside as the youth leadership for the OA exhibit team. This team will be responsible for sharing the story and history of the OA with jamboree participants and staff in a fun, informative and engaging manner. Some interactive elements to anticipate include:
- Branding of leather objects such as a belt or hiking shoes
- Artist in residence Josh Hunt will paint an ‘OA at the jamboree’ portrait
- Scouts can make a medicine bag by placing earth and ash from the Summit Circle Celebration and Prism Rededication Ceremonies in it
- #ChooseOA photo booth to pose for a Polaroid in your zesty blue polo
Indeed, the overall delivery of this experience will both motivate daily acts of cheerful service as well as strengthen the knowledge of our brotherhood. We encourage you to invite your fellow Scouting friends and families to join us in the OA exhibit area starting this Wednesday for a truly fascinating experience.

We look forward to serving with you as we #FuelScoutingsAdventure in 2017!
