ICE: Introduction to Ceremonial Skills Workshop


Session Description:

Geared towards new members with an interest in learning about ceremonies. This session focuses on the skills needed to perform the pre-Ordeal and Ordeal ceremonies, the four principals, and ways to become a stronger ceremonialist.

Learning Outcomes:

Through this session, you will:

  • Explain the basic symbolism of the pre-Ordeal and Ordeal ceremonies, as well as the principals and their tests. The methods and procedures critical in properly learning ceremonies.
  • Demonstrate that ceremonies are easy to understand with a little work, and the more work a ceremonialist puts into learning about the ceremonies, the more the candidates will get out it.
  • Guide discussions about symbols, metaphors, and allegories within the ceremonies. Methods of learning the ceremonies simply and effectively.
  • Enable ceremonialists and advisers to be able to introduce fellow team members and new Arrowmen alike to the concepts presented and bring methods back to their chapters & lodges in memorization and understanding.
